Android Pie update now rolling out for Infinix Smart 2
Infinix Smart 2 was launched earlier this year in August. At the time of launch, the handset was powered by Android 8.0 Oreo with XOS 3.3.0 on top out-of-the-box operating system. It is now receiving Android 9.0 Pie update, as spotted by XDA Developers.
The update is rolling out to the customers in the form of an over-the-air (OTA) package. It brings improved gesture-based navigation along with adaptive battery, adaptive brightness, app actions and slices. As for the specs are concerned, the Infinix Smart 2 offers a 5.45-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 18:8 and 480x960 pixel resolutions. It is powered by 64 bit quad-core 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739 and runs Android 8.0 Oreo with XOS 3.3.0 on top out-of-the-box operating system.
The handset comes in two different RAM variants- 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM coupled with 16GB and 32GB internal storage. The storage may be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card support.
On the camera front, the device boasts of 13-megapixel sensor on the back with an f/2.0 aperture along with an LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8- megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture lens and dual LED flash at the front.
The smartphone comes with dual SIM support (both VoLTE enabled) and a SIM tray with dedicated microSD card support. It is backed by a 3050mAh battery. Connectivity options offered by the handset include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
